Company's IMS gets 3rd approval


Certification International Philippines (CIP) has attested to the compliance of Taiheiyo Cement Management System to the standard requirements of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

This is reflected in the report of a 3-man audit team CIP assigned to review the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) last September 24 - 26, 2012.

The IMS incorporates the standard requirements of ISO 9001:2008 for the Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2004 for the Environmental Management System, and OHSAS 18001:2007 for Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

Leonardo D. del Carmen, CIP director and head for certification, personally disclosed to the management team of TCPI led by the President and CEO Satoshi Asami that CIP has approved the re-certification.

He said the result of the audit showed that TCPI continuously implemented and monitored its operation based on internationally accepted standard in managing its system.

It assures the quality of the product TCPI produces and the safety of its operation, while continuously protecting the environment and its stakeholders, he pointed out.

Mr. Asami congratulated the management team and all employees for their commitment to continuously cooperate for and maintain the IMS of TCPI.
